- This is the recipe which I make every year. We give several jars to friends at Christmas time. They always ask for more. Brine: boil above for 15 min Blanch asparagus in boiling water for 1 1/2 min. Put in ice water for 2 min. Put 3 cloves garlic in jar. 1 red pepper optional.
- Fill jars with asparagus. Pour in boiling syrup. Seal. I put the jars in boiling water in a canner for about 20 min. This assures a good seal.
- My family really enjoys this.
