Ingredientes

  • 1 gal. sm. onions, peeled
  • 1/2 c. table salt
  • 4 c. sugar
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 4 teaspoon mustard seed
  • 2 c. vinegar

Direcciones

  1. Pour salt over onions and mix thoroughly. Pack in ice cubes (makes crispier). Soak for 3 hrs. Lift onions out of salt and squeeze to get excess water out. Mix remaining ingredients. Pour over onions, get good and warm - but Don't LET BOIL. Put in jars and seal. Scald jars and lids in boiling water before putting onions in them. After filling jars and putting lids on - turn upside down to seal.
