Pina Colada Dipping Sauce

Ingredientes

  • 1 c. pina colada mix
  •     (Major Peters mix was used)
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 2 Tbsp. crush pineapple liquid removed
  • 1 Tbsp. sweetened coconut flakes plus
  • 1 tsp sweetened coconut flakes
  • 3 Tbsp. pwdr sugar plus
  • 1 tsp pwdr sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. corn starch plus
  • 1/2 tsp corn starch
  • 3 tsp cool water

Direcciones

  1. Mix Pina Colada mix, water, crushed pineapple, coconut, and pwdr sugar in a sauce pan. Heat on medium-low temperature till sauce begins to simmer, stirring frequently. Let mix simmer slowly 10 to 12 min.
  2. Mix corn starch and water together, add in to sauce and blend well. Let mix simmer for 3 to 5 min longer while stirring during and after adding cornstarch. Remove from heat and bring to room temperature.
  3. Sauce is served at room temperature with "Parrot Bay Coconut Shrimp" (see recipe).
