Receta Pinangat Sa Kamias Galunggong (Mackerel/Scad Fish)
A native fish cooked very simply yet very tasty. This is a common viand by many Filipinos since it is the cheapest fish that you can buy in the market.

- Cut off ends of kamias. Slice into halves, lengthwise.
- Put on a shallow pan, add onion and tomatoes.
- Pour in water and cooking oil, add fish sauce and pepper to taste.
- Arrange the fish on top of the mixture.
- Cover and let it boil.
- Simmer and cook for 15 - 20 minutes over low heat.
