Pink Grapefruit Margaritas

I adapted this recipe from the Barefoot Contessa and served it for Thanksgiving. It was a beautiful sunset on a beach near Santa Barbara, and these were the perfect accompaniment! They are salty, sweet and a tiny bit sour. They were great with cheese and crackers...and might have been even better with chips and guacamole! Not sure why the drink came out so orange looking in this photo. I'll make them again over xmas and post a better photo!

Ingredientes

  • 1 lime cut into wedges
  • Kosher salt
  • 1 cup ruby red (pink) grapefruit juice
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lime juice (about 4 limes)
  • 1 cup triple sec (or other orange liqueur)
  • 3 cups ice
  • 1 cup tequila

Direcciones

  1. Rub the lime wedges around the rim of each glass and lightly dip the rim in a plate of kosher salt. Set aside to dry. (This is optional.)
  2. Combine grapefruit juice, lime juice, triple sec and ice in a blender and puree until smooth. Pour into a large pitcher and add the tequila, stirring until well mixed. Pour into the glasses and serve.
  3. (Hint: If you're not salting any of the glasses, add a 1/4 tsp salt to the mixture and stir in before pouring. It will really help to balance the sweet and sour flavors.)
