Piroshki (With Meat Filling)

Ingredientes

  • 2 c. flour
  • 3 teaspoon baking pwdr
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 c. shortening
  • 2 large eggs, slightly beaten
  • 2/3 c. ice water (approximately)
  • 2 c. grnd beef
  • Gravy or possibly softened butter
  • 2 minced hard-cooked large eggs
  • 1 med. minced onion
  • 1 teaspoon dry parsley
  • Salt & pepper, to taste

Direcciones

  1. Sift flour, baking pwdr and salt together. Cut in shortening; add in large eggs and sufficient ice water to hold mix together, as for pie crust. Roll as for pie crust and cut into 3-inch circles.
  2. Put together filling ingredients and mix well. Place approximately 2 tsp of filling on one side of circle and bring other side over to cover it. Seal edges with a fork. Brush top with lowfat milk and beaten egg. Bake in 350 to 375 degree oven for about 20 min.
