%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20week,%20I%20admit,%20we%20had%20leftover%20pizza.%20However,%20the%20girls%20didn't%20care.%20The%20movie%20for%20this%20week%20was%20not%20one%20that%20we%20have%20in%20our%20movie%20library.%20It%20was%20a%20completely%20brand%20new%20movie!%20The%20choice%20was%20actually%20pretty%20easy.%20Kyleigh%20recently%20spent%20a%20week%20at%20a%20day%20camp%20where%20the%20theme%20was%20'Fairytales'.%20One%20of%20the%20stories%20they%20did%20was%20Chicken%20Little.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHey,%20wasn't%20there%20a%20movie%20recently%20about%20that??%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhy,%20yes,%20I%20believe%20there%20was.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESo%20I%20searched%20on%20one%20of%20the%20'On%20Demand'%20stations%20offered%20by%20our%20cable%20provider.%20Voila!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETo%20heighten%20the%20anticipation,%20I%20didn't%20tell%20Kyleigh%20which%20movie%20I%20was%20searching%20for.%20Instead,%20I%20let%20her%20find%20out%20by%20waiting%20and%20watching.%20Boy,%20was%20she%20excited!%20She%20really%20enjoyed%20the%20movie,%20and%20it%20also%20held%20Abby's%20attention.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETaking%20after%20me%20though,%20Abby%20was%20more%20interested%20in%20what%20came%20after%20the%20pizza--brownies!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAs%20per%20my%20usual,%20I%20went%20into%20the%20kitchen%20and%20here's%20what%20I%20came%20out%20with.%20Enjoy!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFirst,%20preheat%20oven%20to%20375%20degrees%20F.%20Using%20a%20cooking%20spray,%20grease%20the%20bottom%20and%20sides%20of%20a%209x13-inch%20baking%20pan.%20Set%20aside.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENow,%20in%20a%20medium%20mixing%20bowl,%20whisk%20together%20the%20flour,%20salt,%20baking%20powder,%20ancho%20chile%20pepper,%20chili%20powder,%20and%20cinnamon;%20set%20aside.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EUsing%20a%20stand%20mixer%20fitted%20with%20the%20whisk%20attachment,%20whisk%20the%20whole%20egg%20and%20egg%20yolk%20on%20high%20until%20they%20start%20getting%20frothy;%20about%202%20minutes.%20Turn%20speed%20down%20to%20medium%20and%20add%20in%20the%20oil.%20Continue%20whisking%20until%20thick;%20about%202%20minutes%20more.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETake%20the%20whisk%20attachment%20off%20and%20replace%20it%20with%20the%20paddle%20attachment.%20Beat%20in%20the%20butter.%20Start%20on%20low%20speed%20and%20increase%20as%20the%20butter%20continues%20to%20break%20down.%20Within%20a%20couple%20minutes,%20the%20mixture%20will%20come%20together%20nicely.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBeat%20in%20the%20dark%20brown%20sugar.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENow%20add%20in%20the%20cocoa%20powder%20and%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ethe%20half%20&%20half;%20beat%20on%20low.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDon't%20forget%20to%20scrape%20the%20sides%20down%20as%20you%20go!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAlternately%20add%20in%20the%20flour%20mixture%20and%20milk.%20The%20milk%20will%20combine%20easier%20if%20you%20begin%20and%20end%20with%20the%20flour%20mixture.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFold%20in%20the%20bag%20of%20dark%20chocolate%20chunks.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWe%20are%20getting%20closer%20to%20being%20done!%20Patience...%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENow%20we%20grab%20our%20pre-greased%20pan%20and%20pour%20in%20the%20brownie%20batter.%20Spread%20it%20around%20so%20that%20it%20is%20in%20there%20evenly.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBake%20in%20the%20preheated%20oven%20for%2016%20minutes.%20When%20you%20pull%20the%20pan%20out,%20sprinkle%20the%20cinnamon%20chips%20evenly%20overtop%20the%20piping%20hot%20pan%20of%20brownies.%20Being%20very%20careful%20not%20to%20touch%20the%20hot%20pan,%20fold%20a%20sheet%20of%20aluminum%20foil%20over%20the%20pan--this%20is%20helping%20the%20cinnamon%20chips%20to%20melt.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhile%20we%20wait%20for%20the%20chips%20to%20melt,%20it's%20time%20for%20the%20icing.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1/3%20c.%20vegetable%20shortening%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E2%20oz%20cream%20cheese%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Esplash%20of%20evaporated%20milk%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1%201/2%20c.%20powdered%20sugar%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E2%20Tbsp%20cherry%20juice%20(using%20the%20concentrated%20juice%20from%20a%20jar%20of%20cherries)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eroughly%202%20Tbsp%20whole%20cherries%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EUsing%20a%20stand%20mixer%20fitted%20with%20the%20paddle%20attachment,%20beat%20together%20the%20shortening%20and%20cream%20cheese.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOn%20low%20speed,%20beat%20in%20the%20powdered%20sugar%20and%20evaporated%20milk.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOnce%20combined,%20beat%20in%20the%20cherry%20juice.%20Be%20sure%20to%20taste%20at%20this%20point;%20adding%20more%20cherry%20juice%20is%20always%20an%20option.%20:)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAdd%20in%20the%20whole%20cherries%20and%20beat%20on%20medium-high%20speed%20for%20a%20couple%20minutes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAgain%20being%20very%20careful%20not%20to%20burn%20yourself,%20remove%20the%20aluminum%20foil%20from%20the%20pan%20of%20brownies.%20The%20cinnamon%20chips%20should%20still%20have%20their%20shape,%20but%20will%20be%20beginning%20to%20melt.%20Now%20we%20drizzle%20the%20icing%20over%20the%20top%20of%20everything.%20Using%20your%20spatula,%20spread%20the%20icing%20around%20so%20that%20it%20covers%20the%20top.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECut%20and%20enjoy!!%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
