Receta Pizza Dough Pasties
Pizza Dough Pasties
I’ve talked previously of my love for pasties, but I’ve never made them from scratch, until now, until this recipe, which wasn’t really a recipe, since I just threw a bunch of stuff together. But here on this little blog it has become a full fledged recipe.
Pizza Dough Paties
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 1/2 pounds hamburger
- 1/2 onion-diced
- 1 clove garlic-minced
- 1/2 package Simply Potatoes-shredded hash browns
- 2 packages pizza dough
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 egg-beaten
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. On a baking sheet with a Silpat liner (or sprayed well with cooking spray) take one of the pizza doughs and roll it out. I made huge pasties, so used 1 dough for 1 pasty. Put warm filling in the middle of the dough and fold dough in half to make a pocket. Roll the outer edges of the dough tightly to create a seal. Brush the top and sides with beaten egg and poke 2 vent holes in the top. Repeat for the 2nd pasty. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until top is golden brown.
NOTE: Once you start putting the warm filling on the dough, you’ll need to work quickly, because the dough will actually start cooking from the heat, and make sure the oven is already preheated when you start filling so you can pop it right into the oven.
