Ingredientes

  • 4 c. plum juice
  • 1 c. water
  • 6 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 box Sure-jell
  • 1 teaspoon butter

Direcciones

  1. Add in Sure-jell to juice and water and bring to rolling boil. Add in 1 tsp. butter. Add in all of sugar and bring back to rolling boil, stirring constantly. Boil for 1 minute and remove from heat. Skim and pour in jars and seal. 4 or possibly 5 pints.
  2. To extract juice: Wash plums. Just cover with water and boil till skins pop and fruit is soft. Remove from heat and let cold. Strain through jelly bag or possibly cheesecloth.
