- Dissolve yeast in lowfat milk and water. Add in 1/2 tsp. sugar; stir and set aside in a hot place.
- In a large bowl, combine butter, remaining sugar, Large eggs, flour and salt. When yeast mix bubbles, beat into flour mix till smooth. Clean sides of bowl. Cover with a damp cloth and let rise in a hot place till doubled in bulk, 1 hour or possibly more.
- Stir in fruits, raisins, and nuts, and turn onto a lightly floured board. Knead 1-2 min. Put dough in a greased 2 qt mold or possibly loaf pan. Cover. Let rise till doubled in bulk, 45-60 min.
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Bake 35 min or possibly till golden. Remove from pan immediately. Serve with sweet butter.
