Receta Popcorn and Peanut Mix~ Baseball Days~
This honeyed snack tastes a lot like old-fashioned popcorn balls but it is much easier to make. Make a big bowl of this snack to munch on while your watching a baseball game on TV or take some along with you to the next baseball game and pass it around while your cheering on your favorite team:)
- 10 cups air-popped popcorn
- 1 cup honey roasted peanuts
- 1/2 cup sliced pecans, coarsely chopped
- 1/3 cup honey
- 2 T orange juice
- 2 T butter
- 1 t orange zest
- 1/4 t ground cinnamon
Preheat oven to 325. Place popcorn, honey roasted peanuts, and pecans in a large roasting pan.
In a medium microwave safe bowl, stir together the honey, orange juice, butter, orange zest and cinnamon until well mixed. Heat on high for 1 to 2 minutes or until hot and bubbly. Drizzle the honey mixture over the popcorn and nuts. Bake for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. Spread popcorn mixture on a large sheet of foil. Cool completely. To store, place in a tightly covered container. Makes 7 cups.
