Receta POPCORN LOVE
I take my popcorn really seriously. It isn't just for movie theaters or microwaves. There is an art to both popping and topping. I believe popcorn is incredibly underrated.
I know, CORN. It's not the healthiest thing in the world, but I don't care. I have a irreversible love affair with popcorn. We shouldn't even be friends! It is almost too fibrous, "indigestible" and makes most people bloated. Somehow, I seem unharmed by these things and continue my addiction happily.
This recipe is my go-to topping for popcorn. It's spicy, salty and savory meaning I literally cannot get enough. As usual, its SPICY and features my two favorite forms of heat: cayenne and red pepper flakes.
SAVORY & SPICE POPCORN
(Vegan & Gluten-free)
- 1/3C Multigrain popcorn kernels
- 1T Olive oil
- 3T Bragg's Amino Acids
- 1/2-3/4t Cayenne pepper
- (you know I'm crazy, so test before using this much)
- 1t Fleur de sel (or another sea salt)
- Sprinkle of Red Pepper Flakes
1. Heat oil in saucepan on medium high heat. After pan warms, add popcorn kernels and sea salt.
2. Make sure popcorn is coated with oil and salt. After 1-2 minutes, remove the pan from the flame and wait about 30 seconds.
3. Return the pan to heat and shake the pan gently. Keep the lid on, but slightly ajar to make sure moisture is released.
4. Once popcorn is popped, drizzle Bragg's evenly throughout popcorn. Use a BIG bowl, which will help with mixing. Add cayenne and red pepper flakes and mix very well.
5. Sprinkle with fleur de sel (again) and enjoy!
