Porcupine Sweet And Sour Meatballs

Ingredientes

  • 1 1/2 pound grnd beef
  • 1/2 c. finely minced onion
  • 3 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1/2 c. raw rice
  • 1 egg
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 c. beef broth
  • 20 ounce can pineapple chunks
  • 1 T corn starch
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. vinegar
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

Direcciones

  1. Put together grnd beef, onion, garlic, rice, egg and salt and pepper in bowl. Shape into medium sized meatballs and place in Dutch oven. Add in beef broth and simmer over low heat (don't boil) till done for about 75 min, skimming off any fat that rises to the surface while cooking.Drain syrup from the pineapple and set aside. Put together corn starch and brown sugar in a saucepan. Add in syrup, vinegar and soy sauce. Bring to a boil and reduce heat. Cook over medium-low heat till thick and syrupy.
  2. Pour sauce over meatballs and carefully stir in the pineapple. Simmer 10 min.
  3. Serve over rice or possibly pasta.
