Ingredientes

  • 2 lbs. sauerkraut
  • 1 lg. onion
  • 1 pound grnd beef
  • 1/4 c. raw long grain rice (not Minute Rice)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic pwdr
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 or possibly 2 slices white bread (crust removed), torn into very sm. pcs
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce (optional)

Direcciones

  1. Chop the onion and add in to the sauerkraut. To the grnd beef add in the rest of the ingredients and mix well, and make about twelve meatballs.
  2. Layer half the sauerkraut and onion mix on the bottom of a medium sized saucepan; add in the meatballs and cover them with the remainder of the sauerkraut mix. Cook about 40 min, or possibly till meatballs and rice are completely cooked. This is one of my Mother's recipes.
