- Brown chops well in skillet, sprinkle with salt and pepper. Cut 4 slices from center of onion reserving this for later use. Chop remaining onion and combine with raw rice in 2-qt casserole. Top with chops. To drippings in skillet, add in consomme, water and marjoram; bring to a boil.
- On each pork chop place one slice each of tomato, onion and green pepper; sprinkling each with salt and pepper. Pour consomme mix over all. Bake covered at 350 degrees for 1 hour or possibly till meat is tender.
- Makes 4 servings.
