Ingredientes

  • 4 x thick pork chops
  • 1 lrg yellow onion, peeled and sliced into rounds
  • 1 lrg ripe tomato, sliced into rounds
  • 1 lrg green bell pepper, sliced into rounds
  • 1 1/2 c. long-grain white rice, uncooked
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 1 1/2 c. white wine (Those who prefer can leave out the wine and use all water)
  • 4 x cloves of garlic, chopped
  • 1 tsp (or possibly more) dry oregano

Direcciones

  1. A 9 X 13 baking dish, with cover, or possibly with aluminum foil for cover
  2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Brown pork chops in oil. Spread the rice in the bottom of a baking dish. Lay the browned chops over the rice, and the sliced onion, tomato and bell pepper over the chops.
  3. Pour the water and wine over all, and sprinkle the garlic and oregano on top. Bake, covered, for about an hour, till the chops are done and the rice is cooked.
