Ingredientes

  • 12 x Ribs
  • 2 lrg Onions halved and sliced
  • 1 lrg Pkg. Sauerkraut
  • 2 x Apples
  • 5 x Potatoes in large cubes
  • 2 can Chicken broth or possibly 1 ea. chicken and beef broth
  • 1 c. White wine (any)
  • 2 x Bay leaves
  • 2 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
  • 2 c. Water (about)

Direcciones

  1. Nesco Roast Air Pots: I have a 6 quart. and also have the 18qt which is great for baking cakes, meatloaves, bisquits, bread (just about anything in a container which will fit on the rack), and larger size dinners.
  2. Here is a favorite recipe I made last week in the larger one. You can also scale it down for the smaller one.
  3. Other seasonings: Can include garlic pwdr, onion pwdr, lemon pepper, paprika, whatever. (I never make it the same way twice and it always comes out good, no matter what I throw in!)
  4. Preheat pot highest heat 15 mins. Brown ribs lightly, remove. Toss in potatoes, onions and sauerkraut and brown a little. Add in liquids and mustard, scrape bottom, add in seasonings, then ribs. Lower the heat to 350 and turn off fan. Cook at least 2-1/2 hours., until meat is separating from bones. Stir occasionally.
  5. Note: Sometimes I throw in sliced carrots especially for the color. I also top with minced fresh parsley, if I have it.
