Ingredientes

  • 1 lb lean grnd pork
  • 1 x onion, minced
  • 2 clv garlic, chopped
  • 1 x 8 ounce can sliced water chestnuts, liquid removed
  • 1/2 can (8 ounces) bamboo, shoots, liquid removed, (optional)
  • 1/4 c. peanut butter
  • 2 Tbsp. cider vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 lrg carrot, grated
  • 8 lrg leaves iceberg or possibly leaf lettuce

Direcciones

  1. In large nonstick skillet, brown pork over medium-high heat till no longer pink, breaking up with spoon. Drain off any fat. Transfer meat to bowl.
  2. Add in onion and garlic to pan; cook, stirring, for 2 min. Return pork to pan; add in water chestnuts, and bamboo shoots (if using). Whisk together peanut butter, 3 Tbsp.
  3. (50 mL) warm water, vinegar and soy sauce; stir into pan and cook for 2 min.
  4. Divide pork mix then grated carrot among lettuce leaves. Fold lettuce over filling and roll up.
