Pork Knuckles Braised in Pineapple

One of my version/twist of the traditional Paksiw na pata. Using pineapple and pineapple juice as the alternate for vinegar. It tasted very good too!

Ingredientes

  • 1 Kilo of Pata (sliced)
  • 2 packets of banana blossoms
  • 1 clove garlic (crushed)
  • 1 medium onion (sliced)
  • 3 tbsps. of cooking oil
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • white sugar (according to taste)
  • Pinch of ground pepper
  • Pineapple chunks
  • Pinapple juice (from chunks can)
  • water for boiling
  • Canola oil

Direcciones

  1. Boil the meat together with the garlic, onion, water, and pineapple juice. If you will use a pressure cooker, 10-15 mins is enough.
  2. Once the meat is tender, put in all the other ingredients, then season to taste.
  3. Add the canola oil once the meat is almost coming off its bones.
  4. Add the pineapple chunks, simmer for 2minutes.
  5. Serve and enjoy!
