Receta Potato Pastry (Wheat Free, Gluten Free)

- Combine egg and water with potatoes and mix well.
- Combine flour, powdered lowfat milk, salt and pepper.
- Stir into potato mix, knead lightly.
- Roll pastry between two pcs of clear plastic wrap to required size (base and cover) then remove plastic.
- Line pie plate and pour in desired, pre-cooked filling.
- Cover with remaining pastry, prick and glaze with lowfat milk.
- Bake at 200C (400F) for 20 - 30 min.
- Note: If using very moist filling, pre-cook pie shell for 15 min.
- (Mashed potato: potatoes must be steamed, and then mashed without adding any liquid or possibly butter during the mashing.)
- (I have only used this for savoury pies, so far.)
- Makes sufficient to line and cover 20cm (8") to 23cm (9") pie plate.
