%20It%20snowed%20here%20in%20Minneapolis%20exactly%20on%20Thanksgiving%20day,%20it%20was%20so%20lovely.%20Can%20you%20imagine,%20I%20was%20actually%20photographing%20these%20mini%20trifles%20out%20in%20my%20patio%20and%20it%20started%20snowing%20just%20then%20and%20became%202X%20times%20colder%20:-)%20That's%20the%20reason%20why%20those%20trifle%20cups%20looks%20like%20a%20frosted%20cup%20;-P%20%20but%20I%20managed%20to%20get%20few%20snaps%20for%20you%20all!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWe%20were%20invited%20to%20a%20lovely%20Thanksgiving%20dinner%20on%2022nd%20for%20which%20I%20made%20these%20simple%20and%20delicious%20individual%20trifle%20dessert.%20I%20wanted%20to%20make%20something%20with%20Pumpkin%20ever%20since%20Fall%20started,%20but%20never%20got%20a%20chance.%20So%20when%20I%20was%20asked%20to%20make%20dessert%20for%20the%20Thanksgiving%20dinner,%20I%20felt%20it%20was%20an%20opportunity%20I%20shouldn't%20miss.%20Again,%20wanting%20to%20make%20it%20a%20quick%20and%20easy%20dessert,%20I%20made%20it%20semi-homemade%20,%20by%20using%20canned%20pumpkin%20puree,%20a%20boxed%20Ginger%20cake%20mix%20and%20Jello%20Cheesecake%20flavored%20instant%20Pudding.%20I%20love%20making%20mini%20desserts,%20everyone%20can%20enjoy%20their%20own%20individual%20pretty%20looking%20dessert%20and%20also%20enjoy%20the%20entire%20dessert%20without%20feeling%20too%20guilty,%20afterall%20its%20a%20mini%20dessert%20:-)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20trifle%20was%20put%20together%20in%20less%20than%2030%20minutes%20(excluding%20the%20cake%20baking%20and%20cooling%20time).%20I%20had%20all%20the%20ingredients%20on%20hand,%20even%20the%20Gingerbread%20cake%20mix,%20which%20I%20had%20bought%20from%20Trader's%20Joe%20few%20months%20back%20:-)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20Trifle%20had%20a%20nice%20warm%20flavor%20imparted%20by%20the%20Gingerbread%20cake%20and%20the%20lovely%20pumpkin%20spice%20ending%20with%20a%20cool%20sweetness%20from%20the%20whipped%20cream.%20Everyone%20loved%20the%20dessert!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPumpkin%20Trifle%20Recipe%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERecipe%20Source:%20Adapted%20from%20Taste%20of%20Home%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EYou'll%20need%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDirections%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFor%20Cake%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBake%20the%20Gingerbread%20Cake%20mix%20as%20per%20box%20instructions-%20mix%20together%20the%20egg,%20water,%20oil%20and%20Gingerbread%20cake%20mix%20and%20bake%20for%2030-35mins%20at%20350F.%20Allow%20it%20to%20cool%20and%20crumble%20the%20cake.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFor%20Pumpkin%20Pudding%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ea.%20Prepare%20the%20pudding%20as%20per%20package%20instructions%20-%20Add%202%20cups%20of%20cold%20milk%20to%201%20pack%20Jello%20instant%20pudding%20and%20allow%20it%20to%20set%20for%205%20mins.%20Repeat%20the%20same%20for%20the%20other%20pudding%20boxes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eb.%20Once%20pudding%20is%20set,%20mix%20the%20canned%20pumpkin%20puree%20and%20pumpkin%20spice%20mix%20into%20the%20pudding%20and%20combine%20it%20until%20smooth.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFor%20Whipped%20Cream%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPrepare%20the%20whipped%20cream%20by%20beating%20together%20cold%20heavy%20whipping%20cream,%20powdered%20sugar%20and%20vanilla%20extract%20on%20high%20until%20the%20cream%20is%20smooth%20forming%20soft%20peaks.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAssembling%20the%20mini%20Pumpkin%20Trifle%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20have%20used%20mini%205oz%20cups.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELayer%20with%201%20tblsp%20crumbled%20Gingerbread%20Cake.%20Next%20add%202%20tblsp%20Pumpkin%20pudding,%20then%20add%202%20tblsp%20Gingerbread%20Cake%20crumbs%20and%20top%20with%202%20tblsp%20whipped%20cream.%20Garnish%20with%20Chocolate%20sprinkles%20or%20some%20gingerbread%20cake%20crumbs.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESuggestions%20and%20Tips:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1.%20You%20can%20use%20Vanilla%20/%20Butterscotch%20flavored%20instant%20pudding%20if%20you'd%20like.%20I%20wasn't%20very%20fond%20of%20the%20cheesecake%20flavor,%20but%20Manish%20loved%20it.%20So%20I%20guess%20its%20just%20personal%20preference.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E2.%20Add%20more%20or%20less%20pumpkin%20spice%20as%20per%20taste%20preference.%20I%20added%20a%20pinch%20more%20than%20the%20above%20recipe%20for%20a%20stronger%20flavor.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E3.%20If%20you%20don't%20have%20gingerbread%20cake%20mix,%20feel%20free%20to%20use%20Chocolate%20cake,%20I%20bet%20it%20would%20taste%20exceptional.%20And%20anything%20with%20a%20sweet%20whipped%20cream%20topping%20always%20tastes%20heavenly!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E4.%20You%20can%20use%20frozen%20whipped%20cream%20if%20you%20have%20that%20or%20if%20it%20makes%20your%20life%20easier%20:-)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20did%20ask%20my%20lovely%20facebook%20friends%20for%20some%20simple%20and%20easy%20Thanksgiving%20dessert%20ideas%20and%20I'm%20so%20thankful%20to%20them%20for%20giving%20me%20plenty%20of%20ideas.%20I'll%20be%20putting%20them%20to%20use%20each%20time%20I%20have%20a%20potluck%20invite%20:-)%20Thank%20you%20so%20much%20you%20all.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENext%20on%20MED,%20I'll%20be%20sharing%20details%20on%20a%20gorgeous%20two%20tiered%20cake%20I%20made%20for%20an%20Engagement%20Ceremony...you%20don't%20want%20to%20miss%20it.%2
