Punjabi Chicken Masala Recipe

Punjabi style Chicken Masala. Best served with Rice, Roti or Naan.

Ingredients:

Method:

1. Rub the cashew nut paste all over the chicken and sprinkle a little bit of salt.

2. Keep aside for 30 minutes.

3. Grind the red chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin seeds and half of the onion to a fine paste.

4. Heat oil in a pressure cooker.

5. Add the sugar, cinnamon and cloves.

6. Fry for 20 seconds.

7. Add the remaining onions and saute for a minute or two.

8. Add the ginger and tomatoes.

9. Saute for a minute.

10. Add the ground coconut paste, ginger garlic paste, curd, ground onion paste and mix well.

11. Add the chicken pieces and stir well.

12. Add salt and 1 cup of water.

13. Mix well and pressure cook until 2 whistles.

14. Garnish with mint leaves and coriander leaves.

15. Serve with roti, naan or rice.
