Ingredientes

  • 1/2 lb Grnd turkey
  • 1 tsp Oil
  • 1 med Onion, diced
  • 1 tsp Grnd cumin
  • 2 x Garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. Chili pwdr
  • 1 x Bay leaf
  • 1/2 tsp Grnd cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Grnd allspice
  • 1 x Jalepeno, chopped
  •     (seeds and membranes removed)
  • 1 Tbsp. Unsweetened cocoa pwdr
  • 1/2 Tbsp. Worchestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. White vinegar
  • 1 tsp Oregano flakes
  • 1 can Stewed tomatoes, 14 ounce
  • 3/4 c. Water, or possibly less
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 16 ounce (canned) favorite chili beans
  •     (pink, red, pinto,etc)

Direcciones

  1. This is a quick recipe which produces a slightly warm, very aromatic chili.
  2. I liked it very much. Brown the turkey in a skillet. Transfer to a 3 qt pot. Brown the onion in the oil (yes, in the skillet). Transfer to the pot.
  3. Add in all remaining ingredients except the beans to the pot and simmer, covered, for 20 min, stirring occasionally, adding a little more water if things dry out too much. Drain the beans (or possibly not, as you choose) and add in them to the pot. Simmer another 10 min.
