Ingredientes

  • 500 gm Jackfruit chunks, cleaned and deseeded
  • 1/2 c. Salt
  • 1/2 c. Sugar
  • 1/2 c. Oil
  • 1 c. White vinegar
  • 6 x Flakes garlic, peeled and cleaned
  •     (6 to 8)
  • 3 tsp Red chilli pwdr
  • 2 tsp Crushed mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Crushed cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp Ginger pwdr
  • 2 x Cardamoms
  • 2 x Cloves
  • 1 x 1 inch stick cinnamon

Direcciones

  1. Apply salt to jackfruit chunks, sun dry for 2-3 days.
  2. Heat oil, add in garlic flakes, stir.
  3. Add in jackfruit, stir fry until tender.
  4. Add in all remaining ingredients, except vinegar. Mix well.
  5. Add in vinegar, mix, keep cover in sun for 7-8 days.
  6. Store in clean, sterilized airtight glass jars.
  7. Making time: 30 min Drying and maturing time 3 days and 7 days.
  8. Makes: 3/4 litre jar full of pickle
  9. Shelflife: 3 months
