%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20March%20I%20found%20myself%20under%20all%20sorts%20of%20time%20pressure.%20And%20whereas%20I%20don%E2%80%99t%20mind%20being%20under%20the%20pump%20when%20I%20am%20the%20cause,%20I%20do%20mind%20when%20someone%20else%20has%20put%20me%20there.%20My%20parents%20were%20coming%20to%20stay%20for%20the%20Easter%20weekend%20and%20it%20would%20be%20the%20first%20time%20they%20were%20staying%20with%20us.%20In%20order%20to%20make%20that%20possible%20we%20had%20to%20get%20the%20downstairs%20of%20the%20house%20liveable.%20That%20meant%20painting%20the%20bedroom%20they%20would%20sleep%20in,%20getting%20blinds%20put%20in%20and%20a%20bathroom%20and%20toilet%20installed.%20All%20from%20scratch!%20The%20glaziers%20came%20and%20installed%20the%20windows%20and%20the%20doors,%20and%20this%20was%20followed%20by%20the%20tilers%20laying%20the%20floor%20tiles%20throughout%20the%20house.%20Dave%20put%20in%20the%20bath%20and%20then%20made%20a%20counter%20top%20for%20the%20basin.%20The%20bedroom%20walls%20were%20bare%20and%20I%20went%20home%20to%20paint%20the%20primer%20coat.%20Our%20handyman%20was%20able%20to%20help%20with%20this,%20but%20watching%20his%20haphazard%20painting%20skills%20I%20decided%20that%20all%20he%20could%20do%20was%20the%20primer%20coat.%20I%20painted%20the%20PVA%20white%20coat%20on%20top%20of%20the%20primer%20in%20the%20bedroom%20and%20ordered%205l%20of%20top%20coat%20in%20my%20chosen%20colour%20to%20do%20the%20bedroom.%20Dave%20still%20had%20to%20fill%20the%20sliding%20door%20in,%20and%20so%20I%20left%20a%20corner%20of%20the%20room%20to%20do.%20I%20also%20left%20instructions%20for%20the%20handyman%20to%20prime%20the%20entrance%20hall%20and%20passage%20way%20walls%20so%20that%20they%20would%20look%20good.%20I%20showed%20him%20the%20paint%20and%20left%20him%20to%20it.%20When%20I%20got%20home%20he%20had%20painted%20the%20walls%20with%20the%20top%20coat%20for%20the%20bedroom!%20I%20was%20so%20cross,%20and%20now%20under%20a%20lot%20of%20pressure.%20I%20had%20to%20order%20the%20correct%20colour%20paint%20for%20the%20walls%20he%20had%20painted,%20and%20paint%20over%20them%20as%20well%20as%20touch%20up%20the%20ceilings.%20I%20also%20had%20to%20prime%20the%20dining%20room%20walls%20myself%20as%20the%20new%20primer%20I%20bought%20is%20thin%20and%20he%20is%20careless.%20All%20this%20extra%20work%20put%20me%20under%20a%20lot%20of%20pressure!%20And%20when%20I%20don%E2%80%99t%20have%20a%20lot%20of%20time%20to%20spare,%20all%20I%20want%20is%20easy%20to%20cook%20meals,%20and%20ingredients%20waiting%20for%20me%20in%20the%20fridge.%20This%20creamy%20black%20pepper,%20feta%20and%20herb%20dressing%20was%20one%20of%20those%20ingredients.%20I%20just%20chopped%20some%20cabbage,%20carrots%20and%20beets%20and%20topped%20it%20with%20the%20dressing.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E125mls%20cr%C3%A8me%20fra%C3%AEche%20100g%20feta%20cheese%20Generous%20grind%20of%20black%20pepper%20to%20season%20Salt%20to%20season%2060mls%20apple%20cider%20vinegar%2030mls%20olive%20oil%202.5mls%20minced%20garlic%205mls%20dried%20thyme%2060mls%20water%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPlace%20all%20of%20the%20ingredients%20into%20a%20jug%20Mix%20well%20using%20a%20stick%20blender%20Keep%20refrigerated%20in%20a%20sterilized%20glass%20bottle%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E3.2.2925%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EClick%20on%20the%20links%20for%20conversions%20and%20notes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDisclosure:%20I%20was%20sent%20the%20book%20to%20review%20by%20Penguin%20Random%20House%20South%20Africa%20and%20this%20recipe%20formed%20part%20of%20the%20review%20and%20is%20published%20with%20permission.%20This%20post%20is%20in%20line%20with%20my%20blogging%20policy.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELow%20Carb%20Is%20Lekker%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhat%20I%20blogged%20June%201:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETandy%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETop%20of%20Page%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EVN:F%20[1.9.22_1171]%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERating:%200.0/10%20(0%20votes%20cast)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELike%20Loading...%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERelated%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAbout%20Tandy%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETandy%20is%20passionate%20about%20using%20regional,%20seasonable%20and%20sustainable%20produce%20when%20she%20cooks.%20She%20lives%20in%20Gordons%20Bay%20in%20a%20cottage%20with%20her%20husband,%20three%20dogs,%20a%20tortoise%20and%20a%20fish.%20Tandy%20and%20Dave%20are%20busy%20building%20a%20house%20which%20is%20an%20adventure%20all%20in%20itself.%20Each%20year%20they%20visit%20a%20new%20place%20to%20experience%20the%20food%20of%20the%20area%20and%20you%20can%20follow%20along%20on%20their%20adventures.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
