Head straight on to the recipe for Cuban Pork Chops ♥ Cuban-style pork chops – extracted from World Atlas of Food The text in World Atlas of Food is provided by Mariëlle Renssen and was derived from a variety of sources. Food preparation is simple and pork is widely used. Cuban Pork Chops Meat, especially, lamb, has become very expensive and as I want to buy free range and organic proteins I am always on the look out for a bargain. Woolworths have introduced a special discount where they offer 30% off all meat which has reached its sell by date. The offer starts at 2pm and I try and get to the shop every day to see the specials. The other day one of the senior managers was there and waiting for the stickers to be put on the meat so he could choose the best ones. I was really disappointed by this as Woolworths offer their staff fantastic discounts and I could see no reason why management should take advantage of this shopper discount. On the day I made these Cuban pork chops they were on special. Dave and I tend to eat 3 pork chops between the two of us and so I bought 2 packs of 3. I marinaded the meat for 5 hours and Dave cooked all of them at once. I then reheated the rest for dinner the following evening.
