Pear, Walnut and Blue Cheese Salad
Well it is the holiday weekend and that means over-eating. We decided to be good to ourselves and have a lighter lunch. Embellishing on an already great salad we added some grilled salmon. This tasty treat was just enough to carry us over to the grilled steak planned for this evening.
If you want a special salad for a great meal or just a light lunch like we did; give the Pear, Walnut and Blue Cheese Salad a try. Adding the salmon made it just a little more special.

lemon, juice of

salt and pepper to taste

pears, red Bartlett

walnuts, toasted

- cheese, blue

honey
Place lettuce leaves in a bowl and toss with lemon juice and add salt and pepper to taste. Arrange on plate. Cut pear as thinly as you can and arrange on the lettuce. Place walnuts around top, and put dollops of the blue cheese on top. Drizzle with honey. Serve very cold.
