Pork and Figs
Our friend and former neighbor from both Cincinnati and Illinois stopped by on Saturday on her way to drop her son off at college. As they were going to be here for dinner we decided on a meal that provided maximum catch-up time and was good comfort food. We paired the pork with some mashed potatoes and gingered carrots. Nothing fancy; just good We finished the meal with a new peach crostata; recipe under development.
I know this recipe screams Fall but who can wait that long for something this good. We are off to Charleston for our annual sun worshiping next week. I will endeavor to finish the crostata recipe while there and post it.
