RED CHILLI ROAST BEEF

This is my own recipe, which I slightly modified from my mother's recipe. The red chillies can be cut down if one is not used to spicy food.

Ingredientes

  • 1 kg under beef
  • 10 - 20 Red Chillies
  • 6 cloves of garlic
  • 1" stick cinnamon
  • 4 cloves
  • 3 - 4 tomatoes (use whole tomatoes)
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 3/4 to 1 litre of water……depending on the quality of beef
  • Salt to taste
  • A little vinegar optional

Direcciones

  1. Cut the beef into 3 or 4 large pieces.
  2. Trim the fat etc and wash and drain the water nicely.
  3. Put all the ingredients along with the beef in a pot and cook till all the water dries up.
  4. Let the beef get brown and then smash the tomatoes in the pot and stir it. T
  5. Then remove the pieces of meat and slice it againts the grain and put it back in the pot.
  6. Arrange the pieces on a plat and garnish with fried or baked potatoes.
  7. (Tip : you can use the ready to bake or fry Mcain potatoes….what I used)
