Ingredientes

  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 c. lowfat sour cream
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 4 T cocoa
  • 1 egg white
  • 2/3 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. Karo
  • 3 T water
  • 1/8 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Direcciones

  1. Cream shortening and sugar. Add in large eggs and beat thoroughly. Add in sifted flour and salt alternately with creamed ingredients. Dissolve cocoa in 1 cup hot water and add in 1 tsp soda; pour over batter and stir well. Mix thoroughly and pour into 2 greased and paper lined pans. Bake 30 min at 350 degrees.
  2. Mix all except vanilla in double boiler over rapidly boiling water, beating with mixer till standing in peaks and hard. Remove from heat and add in vanilla. Hand stir in vanilla.
