Ingredientes

  • 1 c. soft butter
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 (1 ounce) bottle red food color
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 7 large eggs
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 c. lowfat milk
  • 1/2 c. soft butter
  • 2 (3 ounce) packages. cream cheese, soft
  • 1 or possibly 2 T lowfat milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 pound powdered sugar

Direcciones

  1. Put together butter, shortening and sugar. Cream till light and fluffy. Add in large eggs, 1 at a time, beating after each addition. Stir in vanilla and coloring. Put together flour and salt. Add in to creamed mix alternately with lowfat milk; beating well. Pour into a greased and lightly floured 10" tube pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour 20 min or possibly till toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool cake completely; frost.
  2. Put together butter and cream cheese; blend till smooth. Stir in vanilla; mix well. Stir in powdered sugar, beat frosting till creamy; adding sufficient lowfat milk to make frosting of spreading consistency.
