Red Wine Marinated Peaches

When I was a little girl growing up, one of my dad’s favorite desserts was a simple bowl of sliced peaches with red wine poured over them.

He would be so happy when peaches were in season. Dad led a simple life and the simple things always made him happy.

So in honor of my dad’s favorite dessert, I created Red Wine Marinated Peaches.

Please have the patience to let it marinate at least 30 minutes. It’s the most incredibly delicious way to have a fruity dessert. Adults only though. But hey, when I was a kid, dad always let us have a couple of bites of his dessert. We actually loved it almost as much as dad did. He doesn’t eat this way anymore, but I have the great memories of this dish etched in my mind.

That wine becomes this luscious syrupy delight that will make you crave more.

I am glad that I remembered about his love for peaches with wine. Now it’s written in stone, err something like stone.

Thanks for stopping by and have a peachy day.
