Receta Rhubarb Martini
When I first saw this drink, I thought really? That sounded so different but at the same time that sounds amazing! I had to try it. The problem was, rhubarb was not yet in season in upstate New York so I diligently watched for it at the grocery with no luck. Finally, last weekend, we went by a stand at an individual home that had rhubarb for sale and I finally got my rhubarb!
I have a couple of new rhubarb recipes to share with you this year that are out of my normal! While I have always loved a Rhubarb pie (with no strawberries) and Rhubarb Custard Bars, Allrecipes.com featured a few recipes that were very new to me, one being this Rhubarb Martini, in one of their magazines.
If you like the flavor of rhubarb, then you will enjoy this martini. I adapted it slightly because I felt it needed some citrus and added some lime juice. It is made with a syrup made from the cooked down Rhubarb and strained through a sieve. Then shaken with some lime, ice and vodka it turns out to be a slightly sweet refreshing drink on a hot summer day!
First you will make a syrup from the rhubarb, and then you will simply add vodka, ice, lime juice, and shake in a shaker! Its as easy as all that. ;)
