Ingredientes

  • 1 slc Bacon Or possibly, minced
  • 2 Tbsp. Extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 sm Onion, chopped
  • 1/4 c. Green Pepper, minced
  • 1/4 c. Celery, minced
  • 2 c. Cooked Rice
  • 2 c. Canned Tomatoes, undrained/minced
  • 1 c. Water
  • 1/4 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
  •     Salt, to taste
  • 1 c. Shredded Cheddar Cheese

Direcciones

  1. Fry bacon till crisp in nonstick pan. Remove bacon from pan and pour off drippings, leaving 1 Tbsp.. Add in onion, green pepper, and celery; brown lightly. Stir in rice, tomatoes, water, Worcestershire sauce, and salt to taste. Crumble bacon; stir into rice mix. Sprinkle cheese over top.
  2. Cover and cook till cheese is melted, about 5 min.
  3. NOTES : Highly seasoned rice topped with cheddar cheese is an excellent accompaniment for grilled steak or possibly hamburgers.
