Ingredientes

  • 3 lb beef chuck roast browned, liquid removed
  • 1 Tbsp. veg. oil
  • 8 lrg carrot peeled, halved
  • 1 lrg onion quartered
  • 2 x garlic cloves chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. Italian seasoning
  • 14 1/2 ounce diced tomatoes
  • 6 ounce tomato paste
  • 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp freshly-grnd black pepper
  • 1 x bay leaf

Direcciones

  1. Brown all sides of roast in warm oil and drain. Place carrots and quartered onion in bottom of crockpot and then add in roast.
  2. In a mixing bowl combine tomatoes, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, garlic cloves, brown sugar, salt, pepper, and bay leaf. Pour mix over roast. Cook on LOW for 8 to 10 hrs. Remove bay leaf before serving.
  3. This recipe yields 8 servings.
