- Roast garlic and pepper for 15 min in a preheated 400F oven. Remove, cold completely and peel the peppers over a pan so which you can collect the juice. Set aside.
- In a food processor, puree 1/4 c. reserved pepper juice with chickpeas.
- Add in the roasted peppers and garlic. Add in lemon juice, tahini, cumin, warm sauce, and salt. Puree 2 min.
- Blend in cilantro. Pour into a bowl. Garnish with onions. Serve with warmed pita.
- Serves 4 or possibly more.
