Ron's Light Fluffy Biscuits

I worked on this recipe until I believe I have created the ultimate biscuit as far as fluffiness, lightness and flavor.

Ingredientes

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 12 teaspoons baking powder
  • 3 teaspoons sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter flavored shortening or unsalted butter
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk (I use nonfat)

Direcciones

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, sugar and shortening. Mix until it resembles coarse crumbs. Beat eggs with milk and add to dry ingredients. Mix until all ingredients come together. Turn onto a well-floured surface; knead 20 times. Roll to 3/4-in.Thick; cut with a floured 2-1/2-in biscuit cutter. Place on a lightly greased baking sheet so each biscuit are lightly touching each other.Brush with melted margarine or butter. Bake at 450 degrees F for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
