Color me surprised about the results of this Rosewater Chiffon Bundt cake. A few years back I attempted to make a frosting with rosewater and it was a disaster. I might as well have added a bottle of perfume to the mix. A little bit of rosewater goes a long way. I also must admit that I was skeptical about the 1 TBS called for in this recipe. My concerns were for naught. There is no perfume smell or taste. It’s a pleasant taste and if you didn’t know rosewater was one of the ingredients you’d think it was something slightly exotic. Chiffon cakes are made with oil rather than butter and this yields a cake that is lighter in texture. Whipped egg whites and baking powder are used for leavening.
