Ingredientes

  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/4 c. rum
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp grnd cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp grnd ginger
  • 1/4 tsp grnd red pepper
  • 1 x pineapple, peeled, cored, cut into 2-by-1 inch pcs
  • 4 x ripe red or possibly 2 ripe yellow bananas, peeled, cut into 2-by-1 inch pcs
  • 2 x star fruit, cut into 1 inch slices
  • 8 x to 12 skewers

Direcciones

  1. In a small bowl, stir brown sugar, rum, vanilla extract, cinnamon, ginger and red pepper till sugar dissolves. Set aside.
  2. Thread fruit alternately onto double skewers. Brush with spice mix. Let stand 5 min.
  3. Grill or possibly broil fruit skewers 10 min or possibly till brown, basting with spice mix and turning occasionally.
  4. Note: To prevent pcs of fruit from spinning around as you turn kebabs, thread fruit onto two parallel skewers for each kebab. And make sure bananas are hard and ripe.
