.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPour%20the%20batter%20into%20the%20prepared%20cake%20pan....tapping%20to%20release%20any%20air%20bubbles.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E(This%20made%20me%20soooo%20very%20nervous.%20I%20mean...that%20batter%20was%20right%20up%20to%20the%20rim!%20I%20placed%20it%20on%20a%20baking%20sheet%20in%20case%20the%20cake%20spilled%20over%20the%20sides%20during%20baking.%20I%20also%20did%20the%20sideways%20crab%20walk%20as%20I%20inched%20my%20way%20to%20the%20oven.%20I'm%20happy%20to%20announce%20that%20not%20a%20drop%20spilled!%20Not%20during%20transporting%20nor%20during%20baking.%20Whew)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBake%20until%20golden%20brown,%20a%20little%20domed%20and%20most%20likely%20cracked.%20This%20should%20take%20about%2070%20minutes%20or%20until%20a%20toothpick%20inserted%20in%20the%20middle%20comes%20out%20clean%20(a%20few%20moist%20crumbs%20is%20ok).%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAllow%20to%20cool%20for%20about%2015%20minutes%20before%20removing%20from%20the%20pan.%20Run%20a%20knife%20around%20the%20edge.%20Place%20a%20plate%20over%20the%20cake,%20turn%20over%20to%20release%20the%20can%20from%20the%20pan.%20Peal%20off%20the%20parchment%20paper.%20Place%20another%20plate%20over%20the%20cake,%20turn%20over%20and%20there%20you%20have%20it....right%20side%20up.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETo%20make%20the%20honey%20syrup%20(while%20the%20cake%20is%20baking):%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECombine%20the%20honey,%20sugar,%20water,%20clove%20and%20orange%20zest%20in%20a%20small%20saucepan.%20Over%20medium-high%20heat,%20bring%20to%20a%20simmer,%20stirring%20to%20dissolve%20the%20sugar.%20Adjust%20the%20heat%20to%20keep%20it%20at%20a%20simmer.%20Continue%20simmering%20until%20it%20has%20reduced%20by%20about%20half%20(you%20should%20have%20about%203/4%20cup%20of%20syrup).%20This%20will%20take%20about%2010%20to%2012%20minutes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERemove%20from%20heat%20and%20allow%20to%20cool%20to%20room%20temperature.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERemove%20the%20clove%20and%20orange%20zest.%20Pour%20over%20individual%20slices%20as%20you%20serve%20the%20cake.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOr...poke%20the%20cake%20with%20holes,%20using%20a%20toothpick%20and%20pour%20the%20syrup%20over%20the%20whole%20thing,%20allowing%20all%20that%20gooey%20goodness%20to%20seep%20inside.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
