- I like an assortment of Apples, with different flavors and textures, some tart, some sweet, all delicious.
- Braeburn Apples; have a unique combination of sweet and tart flavor.
- Gala Apples; Sweet and grainy, with a mild flavour and a thinner skin than most apples.
- And my favorite, Granny Smith Apples; are crisp, juicy and tart apples with a firm texture.
- Wash all of your apples in Vegetable Wash and dry with a paper towel.
- Cut the apples in large chunks and place all off your apples in a 3 Quart Pot.
- Add Water, Sugar, Cinnamon and Lemon Juice to the apples
- Stir all of your ingredient together and let cook on medium heat for 20 minutes until soft
- Make sure to stir about every 5 minutes to keep from burning.
- Once cooked remove from heat and mash the Apples while still warm.
- Mash by hand until creamy
- I use a Dough Sifter, but you can use a Fork or Potato Masher
- Just don't use an electric mixer or theyâll be too watery.
- While still warm put into small plastic containers with lids and sprinkle with Cinnamon.
- This makes about 7 small portions that you can grab on the go.
- Enjoy!
