"Salisbury" Steaks

Make these with ground beef, instead of cube steaks.

Ingredientes

  • 1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 3 T Panko or other bread crumbs
  • 2 T chopped scallions
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. poultry seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • salt and pepper
  • small package sliced mushrooms
  • 2-3 T milk
  • 3 T butter
  • 3 T flour
  • 1 can beef broth

Direcciones

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Saute onions in a bit of oil, then saute mushrooms separately and set aside.
  3. Add the onions to the ground beef, along with bread crumbs, milk, egg, salt and pepper, garlic powder and poultry seasoning and form 4 oval patties.
  4. Bake patties for 30 minutes, meanwhile make a roux of the butter and flour.
  5. Slowly add the beef broth, then the mushrooms.
  6. Remove patties from the oven and drain.
  7. Pour the gravy over the patties, cover and let rest 10 minutes before serving.
