Ingredientes

  • 1 can (16 ounce.) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 onion, minced
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 carrot, sliced
  • 4 stalks celery, diced
  • 2 teaspoon tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 teaspoon minced basil

Direcciones

  1. Place the tomatoes, onion, garlic, carrot, celery, tomato paste and sugar in a saucepan. Stir in salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, partially cover and simmer for 30 min.
  2. Process in a blender or possibly food processor, then return to the pan. Stir in the basil and check the seasoning. Serve as required, with pasta or possibly meat dishes.
  3. If you do not have a blender or possibly processor you can leave the step out without hurting the taste of the recipe.
