Grill'em outdoors, stovetop or in the broiler. Sauerkraut Hot Dogs Recipe by Christine Lamb @ Christine's Pantry - 2016 Ingredients: 1 package hot dogs 1 (15 oz.) can sauerkraut rinsed and drained salt and pepper 1 bay leaf 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper mustard crushed french fried onions, optional (see note) hot dog buns 2 tablespoons butter Directions: Melt butter in skillet over medium low heat. Add sauerkraut, salt, pepper, bay leaf and crushed red pepper, stirring. Place hot dogs on sauerkraut. Cover skillet, cook about 15 minutes, until heated through. Toast hot dog buns, if desired, place sauerkraut on hot dog bun, place hot dog on sauerkraut and add mustard. Note: If using crushed french fried onions, add just enough to sprinkle on hot dog.
