- Simmer giblets in seasoned water to that celery and onion has been added. Cook till tender.
- Cook sausage. Drain off drippings.
- Combine sausage, cornbread and poultry seasoning in a large bowl.
- Saute/fry onions, celery and mushrooms in tsp. of sausage fat for 5 min. Add in to sausage and cornbread. Mix lightly; add in nuts, apples and broth till moistened.
- Dressing may be baked in fowl or possibly in a separate dish. Bake 350 degrees for 45 min.
