Receta SAUSAGE AND PEPPERONI PIZZA SKILLET
My family loves this Sausage and Pepperoni Pizza Skillet with texas toast and a salad. This warms up great, too.
- 1 pound pork sausage, regular or hot
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon oregano or Italian seasoning
- few drops hot sauce, Optional
- 1 (26 ounce) jar of your favorite pasta sauce
- 1 cup water
- 8 ounces penne pasta (can use just about any kind of pasta)
- 1 cup pepperoni slices
- 1 to 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Brown sausage, onion and green paper. Drain. Add salt, pepper, garlic powder, oregano, hot sauce, pasta sauce and water. You can either cook your pasta ahead and add to the sausage or add it uncooked and simmer for about 20 minutes or until pasta is cooked. (If putting uncooked pasta in the skillet, cover your skillet while simmering) Sprinkle pepperoni slices on top along with the cheese. Simmer until pepperoni is hot and cheese is melted. Makes about 8 servings. Enjoy!
