Receta Sausage and Shrimp Skillet
This quick shrimp dinner is a weeknight winner for busy families.
Sausage and Shrimp Skillet

- Ingredients:
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 white onion, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, seeded and chopped
- 13 ounces smoked sausage, sliced
- salt and pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 3/4 cup chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 2 tablespoons minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon cajun seasoning
Directions:
In skillet melt butter over medium heat. Add shrimp, sprinkle with salt and cook until opaque, about 3 to 4 minutes. Transfer shrimp to a plate.
Add onions, bell peppers, salt, pepper and crushed red peppers, cook until tender, about 5 minutes. Add smoked sausage. Add chicken broth, tomato paste, garlic and cajun seasoning, stirring. Fold in shrimp, cook about 2 minutes, until heated through.
Serve with rice or pasta.
