Sausage Balls In Cheese Pastry

Ingredientes

  • 1 pound pork sausage
  • 3/4 c. dry bread crumbs
  • 1/3 c. chicken broth/stock
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon poultry seasoning

Direcciones

  1. Put together ingredients and form into small balls (about 1 tsp for each). Fry slowly till done. Drain. Avoid hard crust.
  2. Into large bowl, sift 1 1/3 cups plain flour, 1/4 tsp salt, and 1 tsp paprika. Stir into mix 1/2 lb grated sharp cheese. Cut into ingredients 1/2 cup butter. Work with hands till smooth. Pinch off about 1 tbsp of dough and form smoothly around sausage balls. Place in freezer. Bake unthawed balls at 375 degrees for 15-20 min. Yields: 45.
