Sausage & Cheese Mock Souffle

Ingredientes

  • 5-7 slices sour dough bread, cubed
  • 3 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 1/2 pound cooked & liquid removed Jimmy Dean sausage
  • 4 Large eggs
  • 3/4 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 tbsp. dry chopped onion, optional
  • 1 c. half & half
  • 1 3/4 c. lowfat milk

Direcciones

  1. Place bread in 9 x 13 inch greased pan. Cover with 2 1/2 c. cheese and sausage (onions added here if used). Beat Large eggs, half & half, 1 1/4 c. lowfat milk and mustard together. Pour over bread and chill overnight.
  2. Next day: Mix soup and lowfat milk. Pour over bread mix. Top with remaining cheese. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour. Let rest 15 min before serving.
