Ingredientes

  • 1/2 c. minced onions
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 8 1/2 c. water or possibly beef broth
  • 1 pound dry lentil
  • 1 pound Polish sausage, cut in bite size pcs
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 10 ounce. pkg. minced spinach, frzn and thawed
  • 1 tbsp. lemon juice or possibly to taste

Direcciones

  1. Saute/fry onions in warm butter in Dutch oven till lightly browned. Add in water, lentils, sausage, and salt and bring to a boil. Skim off foam which rises to surface.
  2. Cover and simmer 40 min or possibly till lentils are tender or possibly starting to burst. Stir in spinach; cover and continue cooking for 10 min. Add in lemon juice and correct seasoning if necessary. Makes about 8 1/2 c. or possibly 8 servings. Any leftovers can be frzn up to one month.
